Business analysis · Business intelligence · Data

From the first brief
to measured value.

Twenty-seven stepping stones that take a business problem all the way through to a decision, a working change and the value it delivered. You learn each stone by doing it on a real case, and you finish with the client document to prove it.

What it is

One process, learned in the order the work happens.

Most training teaches techniques on their own. The Edge teaches the whole journey: what you decide at each stone, who it affects, what you hand on, and how each part lands in the document the client finally reads.

01

Business analysis

Scope, needs, stakeholders, current state, outcomes, requirements, change and benefits — the analyst's craft, in sequence.

02

Data and modelling

Find it, score its quality, clean it, and model it properly — facts, dimensions and a KPI register you can trust.

03

Intelligence

Descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive: what happened, why, what happens next, and what to do about it.

The Analyst Change Map

Twenty-seven stones, in the order the work happens.

Each stone has its own lesson, decisions, gate and output. Take the whole path, or jump in at the part you need — data modelling, forecasting, requirements.

How it works

Learn it, apply it to a live case, build the document.

Learn the stone

A short lesson with the methods that belong to it, narrated, with a check at the end. Research-based, not opinion.

Work the case

Answer the stone's questions against a real engagement. Upload data, profile it, analyse, forecast and test options with the built-in tools.

Pass the gate

Tick the gate items, or move forward with the gaps logged as risks. Every entry lands in a register: needs, stakeholders, findings, decisions, risks, actions, KPIs.

The document builds itself

Your answers and registers become the client document as you go — thirty sections, with charts drawn live from the data you attached. Print it or save it as a PDF at any point.

A worked example beside you

Every stone shows the same section finished for a full practice engagement, so you can see the standard before you write a word.

Courses

Take the whole path, or the part you need.

Every course is made of the same stones, so nothing is taught twice and nothing is left out. Each one ends with a certificate of completion and the part of the client document it produces.

Every course is drawn from the same twenty-seven stones, in the same order. The one elective sits outside the path — take it when a case needs a real platform behind the model. Courses are taken online at your own pace and can be run for a team on your own cases. Ask for the current fees when you request access.

Certification

Finish the stones, earn the certificate.

Each course ends in a Certificate of Completion from The Business Analyst Edge, naming the course, the stones you completed and the date. The full programme earns the Certified Analyst — Full Path certificate.

  • Complete every stone in the course and pass its check questions
  • Tick each stone's gate, or record why you moved forward without it
  • Produce the client document for a case — the practice case or your own work

Certificates are issued by The Business Analyst Edge. They are a record of the course you completed; they are not a nationally recognised qualification and are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any professional body.
